Museum
The museum of San Mamiliano houses objects found in votive deposits at the entrance of the “Via Cava”, or excavated road, known as “Via Cavone”, including twenty ceramic finds depicting parts of the human body, male and female puppets and terracotta wombs. The most striking piece of the collection is a small vase containing 498 solid gold coins, found at a depth of more than two metres under the current level of the ground.

Timetable 1 April – 30 September 2024

San Mamiliano Museum open from 10am – 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm. Closed on Wednesdays except holidays and always open in the month of August. Guided tours at 11am and 5pm.

Palazzo Pretorio open from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm, closed on Thursdays except holidays and the month of August.

Combined ticket: € 10.00 includes “City of Tuff” Archaeological Park, the Civic Museum and Fort Orsini, and the Sovana Museum Complex with the Museum of San Mamiliano.
